ALW to set a ‘Go Green’ example at ceBIT Australia

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Supporting a cause is one thing and doing something for it is another. AnyLinuxWork prefers to be in the latter category. In a bid to contribute towards the environment, the team has decided to use minimal paper during the 10th CeBIT Australia Show that commences on 31st May.

AnyLinuxWork Team is determined to showcase its Go Green motto at CeBIT Australia Show in Sydney by decreasing the number of pages in its company brochure to be carried to the show. For more details of the company, the clients would be able to contact the ALW representatives personally through e-mail. The team is carrying only a few brochure copies and wishes to showcase the company’s working through personal interaction, company website and power point presentations.

Shares ALW CEO Vivek Singhal, “We have always been a proactive company when it comes to environment conservation. At our headquarters back in India, we have been following the ‘Use Electricity Wisely’ motto quite religiously for the past year and a half. On similar lines, we wish to now use paper in the least possible volume so as to save trees and contribute a fair share towards environment conservation.”

Notably, Team ALW has been following several practices during office hours towards power and environment conservation. Employees are made to understand the significance of both through practicing little things like switching off the power when not in use, not using screen savers, minimizing the use of paper for communication, keeping plants inside office cabins etc. The team also pays special attention towards keeping fit and eating healthy.

ALW thus wishes to take the element of environment conservation at CeBIT Australia 2011 as well. Opines COO Nidhi Mongia, “ I have seen nobody has the time to read lengthy company brochures that easily find their way into dustbins during conferences and exhibitions. I feel a brochure must contain the most important details only. That way we would save paper and also learn to be precise in our communication.”

AnyLinuxWork is a PHP web development company at CeBIT Australia which is taking its services and products to the show. As an Indian company at CeBIT, ALW wishes to set ideal professional and business examples in its bid to contribute towards the development of healthy business practices in the open source world.
