IO has incorporated a new policy of ‘Always on time’. The most punctual person during the month will get a gift from the CEO. This is an initiative to extend a gesture of appreciation for employees. In addition, this is yet another way of re-enforcing discipline at IO.

Continuing with its trend of initiatives, IO and AnyLinuxWork.com have taken yet another pioneering stand in a time-bound and time-driven IT industry. Using its valuable experience of over 10 years, IO has initiated a norm that would hopefully set working trends in future. The thought behind the new concept is to balance personal and professional facets, so as to experience an enriching life. IO has reduced its working hours with the chief goal of working better. Work hours begin at 9.30 am and end strictly at 8.00 pm. This is a baby step towards a future leap for setting up an example for our fellow IT companions.

Intercom Online is now a member of Electronic and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC). ESC is India’s largest electronics and IT trade facilitation organization sponsored by the Government of India. ESC has over 2,300 member companies across the length and breadth of the country in several ICT sub sectors including computer software / services and electronic hardware. IO would soon be participating into the upcoming activities of ESC.

When it comes to performance evaluation, IO has always wanted a way that is transparent in all ways, giving employees a sense of belongingness. Win a bid to achieve this transparency, IO has chosen the 360-degree appraisal method. The ‘360 Performance Appraisal’ involves soliciting performance feedback not only from our supervisor but also from our customers, employees, peers and all whom we interrelate within the course of doing our job. Subordinates, peers, and supervisors provide feedback. It also includes self-assessment and, in some cases, feedback from external sources such as customers.

As India strives to be the super-power in the times to come, we at Intercom Online intend to give a helping hand. And this we intend to pursue by simply saving power in whichever ways possible. IO began this commendable initiative recently under which every IO member is expected, monitored and evaluated under a few parameters set for saving electricity. As part of this initiative here are audits on monthly basis at IO office. There’s a set of questionnaire and checks are conducted under the parameters. Each employee at IO is giving his/her 100 percent for the cause and the difference is already visible. There are regular discussions to invite suggestions and ideas from the employees about saving electricity.

Intercom Online would soon get an ISO certification. The process has been started by CEO Vivek Singhal recently. This would add another professional milestone to IO and AnyLinuxWork.com.
