Fit tracker is a social networking site meant for fitness enthusiasts. It is equipped with many advanced tools like fitness tracker, diet tracker, and exercise calendar in addition to other online community features so that fitness-oriented online users can get in touch with each other and keep a track of their fitness levels. The members also benefit from diet advices and exercise tips from fitness experts on board.
The fitness tracker is built around PHP 5.2 language and MySQL 5.0 database. Template designing of this site is tableless and CSS driven. The website is compatible with IE 8, IE 7, Firefox 3 and above browsers. We have integrated phpBB forum and wordpress blog. We have also created a mobile version of the site using PHP where user can keep track of workout/diet plans; web database is synchronized with the mobile.
The user may get in touch with people sharing the same or having different fitness criteria. There are features like exercise programs with pictorial representation, videos, diet plan, latest news, nutrition charts, exercise analysis chart, report in graphical format, networking, calendar facility. The site uses BMI calculator for counting daily calories apart from keeping a track of nutrition consumption and workout with analysis graph. The calendar keeps track of daily diet and workout done by the user and displays a comparative graph. It handles a huge database with various techniques that respond graphically on users’ data. The site generates detailed graphical reports on calorie fat, carbohydrates and protein intakes. It also displays information about nutritional analysis exercise and metabolism, calorie expenditure, weight loss progress, personal goals, long-term diet, fitness trends and much more! The site also has a “food” feature in which the user can search for food recipes and may even enter a custom-food detailing his/her own recipes. Another special feature of the site is the “exercise” feature. The member can search for an exercise or may even add custom workout. This way he tracks the calories burnt and gets the report of his health. Thus he can monitor time, intensity, distance, and pace for each activity. This also enables him to balance the calories he burns against the calories he takes each day.
- Users can search for foods to review their nutritional breakdown and add these foods to their daily diet journal. The calorie chart displays total nutrient intake. Users can create their own custom foods.
