Myresumebook.com is basically a job portal where job seekers can register and upload their CVs. On this website, employers/ recruiters can also create their profiles and post their jobs for recruitment.
The website has rich text editor created with AJAX and JavaScript through which job seekers can create their resumes. The resume editor has drag and drop features. Users also have a feature to upload videos and slideshows for their profiles. For creating their CVs, users can fill the details manually or they can import their personal details from their Linkedin accounts. For this, users are required to provide their Linkedin login credentials. The website has registration system with Captcha and account activation mail features. The website has three levels of users, namely: Job candidates; Employers and recruiters; and Students and alumni. Users can set privacy settings for their accounts so that only permitted users can view their profiles. The website also has calendar through which users can manage their appointment schedule for jobs. The calendar has drag and drop features; month/day/week wise view with options of changing different colors; booking system and reminders.
- Captcha authentication – On Myresumebook, the registration system has been integrated with Captcha authentication. Users are also required to activate their account by responding to the activation mail.
- Multiple levels of users – The website has multiple levels of users which are Job candidates; Employers and recruiters; and Students and alumni.
- Import Linkedin profile – Users can import their Linkedin profile details for creating a CV on the website. Users are required to provide their Linkedin login credentials to import the details.
- AJAX JavaScript to create/edit CV – Job candidates can create their resume with AJAX/JavaScript editor. The editor also has drag and drop features.
- Image/audio/video content – Users can add Image/slideshow/audio/video content in their profile. Users have an option to either add media file directly from their desktop or add Yahoo video or YouTube shared video. Users can also upload a slideshow.
- Directory –The website has directory structure for Professionals, Employers/Companies and Jobs. There is also a search facility integrated into the directory.
- There are marketplace features for advertisers.
- Blog – Wordpress integration has been done on the site for blog functionality.
- Share - The user can share his CV through emails, social network (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook) as well as within MyResumeBook itself in order to promote himself.
- Promotion: The user can promote himself by using the "My CV" button, which is generated by the system. An HTML code for the same is thus generated which can be placed in email signature, on blog pages, or anywhere else for the purpose of promotion.
- Privacy control – On this website, the user can set privacy control so that only specified people can view his profile and CV.
- RSS Feeds – The website also has a feature for RSS feeds.
- CV views – There is a functionality on the website through which the user can view the names of people who have viewed his resume. He can view visitors’ list based on the time when his profile was visited and on the type of users.
- Tell a friend – Users can forward/ recommend a job to their friends. For this, users can import their address book from Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, AOL etc. Users can also send an invitation from Facebook.
- Ad-free site – Myresume book is free from any kinds of Ads.
- There is a feature for uploading video CV too. Users can add Yahoo or Youtube videos.
